2 dead in South Jersey crash, man airlifted to hospital: police

VINELAND, NJ – Two men were killed and another was hospitalized after a crash Tuesday in Cumberland County, authorities said.

The two-vehicle collision killed John A. Mahoney and Patrick J. Mahoney – both 23-year-old Sewell residents, according to Vineland police. It is unclear if and how they were related.

Officers responded to the scene of the crash at Union Road and Mayslanding Road just after 11 a.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford F-250 pickup was traveling westbound on Mayslanding Road toward the intersection. No charges have been announced and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this case can contact the Vineland Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit at 856-691-4111 ext. 4698.
