Ernest’s ‘Stars For Second Harvest’ Benefit Show Raises $350,000 for Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee

I’m going to feed a LOT of people in Middle Tennessee.

Last night, Ernst organized his Stars for second harvest benefit show, with performances by Jamie Johnson, Luke Nelson, HARDYDarius Rucker and more.

Proceeds from the show, which was held at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, will all go toward helping the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

And like I said, they’re getting a huge check worth about $350,000, which Ernest previously shared in a post on Instagram. He also added that this amount will be equivalent to 1.4 million meals, which will surely feed many people in his home state.

It looked like a great show with a great lineup to kick off the CMA Fest starting tomorrow, and you can see some photos from the evening below:

“THANK YOU to everyone who was at the Ryman last night to support the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee!

We raised approximately $350,000, which equates to 1.4 million meals!!! HUGE thanks to everyone who donated, bought a ticket and/or stood on stage with me to make this evening possible.

Darius, HARDY, Mitchell, Jamey, and Chase: that was one of the coolest writers’ rounds I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. Thank you for being part of a special evening for a great cause.”

Here’s a little snippet from the writer’s round with Jamey Johnson, Hardy, Darius Rucker and more, shared by an attending fan on social media:

Ernest also covered Keith Whitley’s “Miami, My Amy” for the Ryman audience:
