The Lakers appear willing to do whatever they can to keep all-time great forward LeBron James in Hollywood, and DraftKings likes their chances.

The latest odds for the next team have James -425 to be a Laker entering the 2024-2025 season, meaning an 80.95 percent chance of him re-signing with one of the league’s flagship teams.

Interestingly enough, the Cleveland Cavaliers are +750 on bringing James back into the fold as they head into a critical offseason for their franchise that could see Donovan Mitchell traded, and they have already fired coach JB Bickerstaff.

His replacement has yet to be hired.

However, it might not be possible until July, when James is a free agent, as coaches like Jason Kidd (Mavericks) and Tyron Lue (Clippers) have already received huge contract extensions to stay with their current teams.

LeBron James next team odds

When the odds first opened, the Lakers were +150 to keep James, with the Knicks coming in as second favorites at +950.

The Knicks have since risen dramatically to 20/1, with the Cavaliers’ odds dropping from 11/1 to +750.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns opened higher than 22/1 before falling from 12/1 and have now fallen to 10/1.

Bet on the NBA?

A majority of this speculation is that the Suns are one of two teams that will draft guard Bronny James ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft.

Many have hypothesized, with corresponding line moves to back it up, that the Suns are flirting with drafting James’ son Bronny in an effort to lure the star forward. =site%20buttons
