Rain stops Castrol FloRacing Night in America at Eldora Speedway

ROSSBURG, Ohio – Two rounds of heavy rain that dumped on Eldora Speedway after completing hot laps forced the postponement of Wednesday night’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America event, scheduled to open Dream Week at the oval of half a mile.

Eighty-five cars registered for the $20,000 to win program which began as scheduled with practice sessions at 6 p.m., despite rain showers that hit early in the afternoon. But just before the time trials hit the track, the rain returned, causing a deluge that left the surface too saturated for competition.

Track and series officials are discussing a new date for the event. Attendees were told to keep the tickets and bracelets pending the possible rescheduling of the show. An announcement is likely to follow next week.
