Heavy rain hits Montana twice in one day

On Thursday, Montana was hit twice by heavy rain, said Lenochka Angelova, head of the local meteorological station. In total, 9.4 liters of rain per square meter, mixed with hail, fell in ten minutes before noon. Another thunderstorm raged between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM, with precipitation amounting to 23.4 liters per square meter.

Angelova noted that such extreme natural phenomena are characteristic of the season, but in recent years they have repeated themselves with greater intensity.

In the spring of 2023, the amount of precipitation in Montana and some parts of the region exceeded monthly norms seven times, and in January this year a temperature of 28.5 degrees was also recorded in the shade.
