Eastbound 44th Street closed due to fatal two-vehicle crash

WYOMING, MI – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Wyoming that temporarily closed a busy road, police said.

Wyoming Police closed eastbound 44th Street at Stafford Avenue SW to investigate the crash that occurred at 7:40 a.m. Friday, June 7.

Police said a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on 44th Street when it struck a passenger vehicle traveling north on Stafford Avenue.

The driver of the passenger car was killed and was the only one in the vehicle. The other driver was not injured.

Police said eastbound 44th Street, between Clay and Stafford avenues, would be temporarily closed Friday morning.
