BMF has been named agency of record for Spanx, which offers activewear, clothing, denim, shapewear, intimates, leggings and hosiery. The agency will work with Spanx to shape the company’s story and increase media and consumer awareness. Before being named AOR for Spanx, BMF, whose other clients include Gucci, Lilly Pulitzer, Sunglass Hut and Estee Lauder, had already partnered with the company and produced the first pop-up series in New York; Washington, DC; and Miami last December. The initiative resulted in more than 1.2 billion press impressions, including reports from WWD, Marie Claire and Thrillist. “Their track record of excellence and strategic prowess aligns perfectly with Spanx’s vision, and we can’t wait to see the innovative ways they take our brand story to the next level and increase awareness,” said Andrea Port, VP Brand & Integrated Marketing of Spanx.

SPM communications registers as a registered agency for Philz Coffee, Skout Organic And TO DIG. For Philz Coffee, which has nearly 70 locations in California and Chicago, SPM will handle national, trade and local media relations, as well as new store openings, brand partnerships and crisis management. Skout Organic, which makes certified organic, gluten-free, vegan and kosher protein bars, kids’ snack bars and soft-baked cookies, has engaged the agency for brand building, national and trade media relations, product launches and crisis management. New York-based fast-casual restaurant DIG will rely on SPM for media relations and thought leadership.

Nickerson takes on AOR tasks for the Greater New York Building Owners and Managers Association, the federation of BOMA International in the area. Nickerson will provide comprehensive PR and communications services, as well as on-site event support and coordination, to enhance BOMA New York’s outreach and engagement initiatives throughout New York.
