The number of tornadoes in Wisconsin will reach 24 by 2024, NWS reports

Milwaukee, WI – The National Weather Service in Milwaukee has updated the number of tornadoes in Wisconsin to 24 for 2024.

According to the NWS, this update includes a tornado in Dane County as a result of the severe weather on May 21, bringing the total number of tornadoes from that event to 17. Of these, 15 were classified as EF1 and 2 as EF0. The detailed report lists the length and width of each tornado, with Evansville experiencing the longest at 26.2 miles long and 2,300 feet wide.
