Valley City voters decide on proposed repeal of vape product ban – InForum

VALLEY CITY, ND – During North Dakota’s June 11 primary, voters in Valley City will decide whether to repeal the city’s ban on vaping products.

A yes vote on Measure 2 would allow businesses to sell flavored vapors in Valley City. They have been banned in the city since 2016.

Some residents spoke out against repealing the ban before the vote.

One of those is Vicki Voldal Rosenau, who says banning vapes means keeping them out of the hands of children.

“The last thing we want is to normalize sales of a product that is clearly designed for teens and children and that is so heavily laced with nicotine,” Rosenau said.

Valley City Commissioner Duane Magnuson, who proposed putting the issue to a citywide vote, was unavailable for comment at time of publication.
