The top seed in the Fayetteville Regional will not advance to the Super Regional after Sunday’s loss. The feeling is very different at SEMO, which is on its way to a regional final for the first time in school history.

The Redhawks struck early in the first inning after Ty Stauss homered to left field, and they were able to score three more runs in the fourth inning.

Arkansas finally got on the board in the fifth inning thanks to a homerun by Peyton Holt to make it 4-1, but SEMO answered in the bottom of the fifth with a homerun by Brooks Kettering. The Redhawks scored another run in the seventh to make it 6-1.

The score stood until the ninth inning, when the Razorbacks added a pair of runs on a two-run homer by Parker Rowland. That home run wasn’t enough for Arkansas to rally and now the season is over.
