Visit Casper welcomes 2 new employees

CASPER, Wyo. — Shelby Kraus and Cait O’Neal have joined the Visit Casper team.

Both work in the destination marketing organization’s sales and development department, where Kraus is corporate sales manager and O’Neal is sales project manager.

They replace two Visit Casper employees who have accepted positions with other Casper organizations:

  • Luke Gilliam, former director of sales and marketing for Visit Casper, recently took a position at Wyo Sports Ranch, a multi-sport training, recreation, events and entertainment complex under construction.
  • Amanda Sewell resigned as Visit Casper’s business development coordinator in May to accept a position as director of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Wyoming Endowment Foundation.

“With the recent addition of Shelby and Cait, our sales department will be operating at full capacity,” said Tyler Daugherty, CEO of Visit Casper, in a press release.

As business sales manager, Kraus will promote the province to domestic and international tour operators and meeting planners, the news release said. She will represent Visit Casper at trade shows, sales missions and more, including leading the organization’s high school state championships through Proud to Host the Best.

A native of Wyoming, Kraus earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming and brings four years of sales experience to Visit Casper, including two years at one of the area’s largest hotels.

O’Neal is the Sales Project Manager for Visit Casper, where she will serve and support inbound sales and group events, build local relationships, organize introductory tours and more, including partnering with the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association to host the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper preserved for years to come.

A native of Sheridan, O’Neal has a background in business and legal work.

“Shelby and Cait are the perfect sales team for Visit Casper,” Daugherty said in the release. “They both bring invaluable skills and experience to Visit Casper and we look forward to increasing our sales efforts to ensure tourism remains a vital economic driver for Natrona County.”
