Man caught molesting little girl in car; Police arrested the man after a witness reported the incident in Alabama

A multi-county search led to the arrest of a Dale County man. The person arrested is identified as Colt Bryan Lecuyer, 33.

A person in Level Plains called police and said they saw Lecuyer sexually touching a child under the age of 10 in the back of Lecuyer’s car.

When Level Plains police arrived, Lecuyer had already left. The Dale County Sheriff’s Office says Lecuyer is a federally supervised release inmate and a registered sex offender.

Lecuyer’s car was spotted in an Auburn Wal-Mart parking lot Friday just after 10 p.m. Officers from DCSO, Auburn Detectives and Lee County returned the car to Dale County with their assistance.

According to DCSO personnel, Lecuyer was spotted walking along the border between Lee and Macon counties in the Tuskegee National Forest on June 2.

The area received assistance from the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, ALEA’s aviation unit, SBI officers and the ADOC K9 team.

Before catching the thief in Macon County, the K9 team tracked him for more than four miles.

Dale County deputies go to Macon County to pick up Lecuyer and return him to Dale County. His arrest at the Dale County Jail for rape and sodomy will occur soon.
